Coach
Williams,
I asked Spencer to give me a
word as to how the training that you have been giving him has paid off.
He sent me the following email. I would like to add to this my thoughts, as
well. Spencer has always had an incredible work ethic and the discipline to do
whatever is necessary to improve as a player. He has had many good
coaches over the last couple of years who have helped him grow in his
ability. Prior to your work with Spencer, he was a 4 points per game
contributor on his team and saw limited playing time. Since you started
working with him, he has become a player who sees good minutes and is
averaging 12 points per game in his summer league. The most noted changes are
in his confidence and ball handling.
The power moves that you have
shown him have given him the confidence to go to the bucket and either draw
the foul or score (many times he does both.) Thanks for your investment into
Spencer and the other players on his team, he and I value your training both
in basketball fundamentals and in quality character. Keep up the good
work!

(Spencer's email:)
Since I started working with Coach Williams about three months ago, he has
helped me improve greatly in many areas of my game. Some of those areas
are: 1) my confidence during games; 2) my ballhandling;
3) my shooting; 4) how to create offense; 5) my conditioning, and 6)
my
understanding and knowledge of the game.
Before Coach Williams started
training me I was a hard worker on the court. But I didn't improve as
rapidly as I could have because I wasn't getting any instruction. With his
help, I have improved a lot faster than I ever thought I could. ~ Spencer
Dear Coach Williams:
This program has been a blessing to us in so many ways...the main goal of EYG is skills based, but truthfully, it's all about heart, courage and integrity.
You have touched our little girl so profoundly. As you know, we had a situation last year where a teacher took our daughter's self image and crushed her spirit.
It has taken us a LONG time to build
her confidence back.
I think it's great that you are working so hard to get more girls involved.
It's such a great sport...and I never would've dreamed that it could be such a confidence builder!
There are just so many fundamentals that our daughter is learning, not just about basketball...but about growing into a strong, confident, and courageous young woman.
I just wish that she could see the light that we, and you, see in her...I can't wait for the day that it explodes into high beam!
Thank you and God bless you!

My 3 boys are under Coach Williams direction right now.
We just started the skills basketball program; my boys are Patrick, 13
Andrew, 10 and Philip, 8. Here is the email I sent him about the
great job he's doing with my sons:
"I have to thank you again, Coach Williams.
Your program is wonderful and so good for all kids involved. But, for mine specifically, I have seen a
difference . . . even at home with their chores and such. They have always been good
boys . . .but I'm seeing them step it up a bit. I think a lot of that has come from your approach to coaching
them. Would love for you to use our experience in anyway that will help the EYG program!"
Sincerely, Angela Hazelip
